The Definition Of The Word "Racism"

Few months ago my brother & I, had a very interesting discussion about the definition of the words race & racism. Afterward he encouraged me to create a blog and post my thoughts and so as my music. That's what I did. Therefore I owe it to him to post you one of the reason of "Iras World".
I was trying to understand why people started to think that the definition of the word race has something to do with the color of one's skin. For your information it's a pure load of bullcrappy shit.
At the beginning, the word race has some genetic factors. The exact definition being : An interbreeding, usually geographically isolated population of organisms differing from other populations of the same species in the frequency of hereditary traits. A race that has been given formal taxonomic recognition is known as a subspecies.
Ergo, our species is Homo and our race is Homo Sapiens Sapiens (nowadays we merely say the human race). That being said it means that the definition of racism that you know has no sense. You can't discriminate people from your own species and/or your own race. If they were some Homo Abilis or Homo Erectus, I wouldn't have anything to say then. I think that people started to mix up the social genes ("the meme") and the gene itself. (e.g : Rich Arab people share the same meme. But poor American and rich Arab have few meme in common but they are still from the same race).
Words are everything, so I'd like to understand how people started to use one word in order to mean something else that has nothing to do with the word they're using.
This topic is very tricky and potentially "inflammatory". So y'all take your time before answering, and use your words very carefully.
Your inputs matters to me but I don't want that other members harass you because they didn't like what you had to say.
