Theory On Humanity

Before I start I want to emphasize on the fact that this symbolize my thoughts and aren't in anyway a scientific proof of any kind.

I have a theory on humanity however I never had the chance to verify it on a scientific level :

I think we are all born with an evil soul (which by the way implies that I believe in the mythical Judeo-Christian concept of the soul).

Nevertheless, as one goes along our surroundings shape that soul. Indeed if a human being, end up in the right environment he'll be able to recognize something our society deem right or wrong.

Otherwise when that environment is missing or corrupted some us are stuck to our initial selves which refer to the primal side in all of us that makes us steal, lie, defend ourselves, kill or do anything necessary in order to survive even if it means eating another human being.

However this theory has to take into consideration the real definition of the words right, wrong or good and evil. Given those definitions maybe we are all born "normal" merely like any other animals without any of the morals our societies shaped for centuries....

And I pray to God that I'm wrong and my assertions and take on humanity is completely out of line. Because if I'm right it would not only mean that we are cursed as a species but it could also mean that this (earth, our lives, etc...) is a huge purgatory or merely hell, where sometimes it is attractive however most of the time it's just painful !!

Anyway I'd like to hear your thoughts on that !!
